I'm sorry. Which Smackdown were you watching? Cena usually opened the show or at least cut a decent sized promo, had at least one more appearance, and then almost always wrestled in the main event. The shows were built around him.
This is just like Benoit's treatment after WM20. He's not used. Out of sight out of mind is the quickest way to kill someone's heat. And then when the crowd turns lukewarm towards him, its his "fault." And Triple h steps in to once again "save the ratings."
I hate to sound like the typical paranoid Triple H hater, but there's just no logical reasoning behind the way Cena's being used.
