Ok, I'm determined to win this time.
I've been tossing this one about for a few days now and I think I've got a general idea of what the bookers are thinking, and since it's Sunday and I'm so horrible at picking, I'll assume that nobody's going to copy my logic so I'll explain why I made my choice also.
WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP.
JBL V.S. Batista.
Winner: Batista.
How:Clean....If I were booking this and I had a big 4 coming up, I wouldn't want to bring in a new champ for SS. Nobody's going to expect JBL to get his come-uppance after only a month.
US CHAMPIONSHIP.
Chris Benoit V.S. Orlando Jordan.
Winner: OJ
How: Interferance.... There was hardly any buildup to this match, so I wouldn't expect anything drastic to happen to the title. Benoit wasn't portrayed as being better than OJ because he was never really compared to OJ. Changing the title would give the title less value.
WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP.
Animal and Heidenreich V.S. MNM.
Winner: MNM.
How: Cheating... I seriously don't think they're going to give the titles to Animal. His contract probably only extends to GAB to hype his DVD. MNM will put Animal over but still take the win.
Undertaker V.S. Muhammed Hassan.
Winner: Taker
How: Clean... SS is a big 4, so I'd expect them to hype the hell out of Taker vs. Batista.
Christian V.S. Booker T.
Winner: Christian
How: Clean... Booker T doesn't have any real direction after this feud. CHristian will be moving on to bigger and better things and to do that he'll need a win in his previous feud.
BRA AND PANTIES MATCH.
Melina V.S. Torrie Wilson.
Winner: Torrie
How: Clean... Knowing the WWE and Torrie's character, they'll try to give us a "gift" with this one. Melina will lose cleanly, then Torrie and Candice will strip so we get to see all 3 of them in their bras that are no smaller than the shirts they were wearing earlier.
GRUDGE MATCH:
Eddie Guerrero V.S. Rey Mysterio.
Winner: Rey
How: CLean.... Everybody's expecting an Eddie win here, but Eddie will lose and tell the secret anyway (he lied when he promised to lock it away). With this secret, we may see a new direction in Rey's character.
bWo V.S. Mexicools
Winner: Mexicools
How: DQ....Tough call here. One team has a shakey future in the company, the other doesn't have the charisma and mic skills of Richards and Nova. My best guess is that it'll boil down to the bWo getting desperate and unloading a shitload of "ECW" hardcore stuff (probably the only reason the WWE bothered to bring them back) and getting themselves DQ'ed. Mexicools come out looking like the better wrestlers, while the bWo comes out looking like hardcore badasses who are destined to make a dent in the industry.
