Anyway, Goldberg was just not happy with the way he was handled. His character is one of the easiest to write for and they still messed it up. He never had to be as complex as they tried to make him out to be, that was the problem. He was a simple character that did a simple thing: crush the opposition. Since he didn't do that, then what was the point of having a "Goldberg" in WWE? In his complaints, he was right, I feel. He wasn't the best athlete, but wrestling was never about that. They just tried too hard with Goldberg and didn't do the simple things that got him over in the first place, thats why it failed.
He left because his contract was up after WM21, as others have already stated.
Goldberg ='ed money, but nobody knew how to do it in WWE, because there always has to be a reason behind everything on their shows, even when there doesn't have to be...
