Well it does matter because CM Punk has got a fanbase now from that gimmick, and the people have connected with him through it,now when you change a gimmick thats popular& change it to a gimmick such as this on top of that,, your seriously risking pissing off the fans that know him under that gimmick.

I don't know him that well, but he seems popular on this board so i'm guessing he's well known outside of WWE.
