Real Sociedad came 2nd in the Liga a few years ago, look where they are now. Valencia won it a couple years back, look what's happened to them. Depor winning the league was like Everton finishing 4th, they had a better year than normal and played above themselves - plus they had some different players then. NUFC fans need to wake up and stop deluding themselves. Your club is in the shits. Freddy Sheppard has sold you all out and your defence is thinner than Alan Shearer's hair. There is very little chance of you making the top six this season considering the competition for European places.
Unless serious signings are made in defence and a new striker is brought into the club things are not going to improve. Souness is going to kill your team just like he liked mine ten years ago. Be prepared for a long, barron spell and remember the good old days when you were 12 points clear and the country loved you. Now you'll be lucky to get 12 points from the first 6 games and the country looks at you like a laughing stock.
