I know thismay be unpopular opinion, but I think it was a wise move to get Christian taken outof the feud with Cena. They had great chemistry together through the safeguard of being on separate brands, but when they got together it didn't work too well, IMO. Could have been a great feud, but I think it will turn out better if done next year, or the year after.

Christian is still awesome, and hopefully they run with the Triple Threat they had for the US Title at house shows recently, because by accounts it was a great match. That's not going to do muh in the long-term for Christian, though. Captain Charisma NEEDS a role to play at Summerslam, that isn't confined to wrestling in a meaningless match. He needs a program that makes us SCREAM for a match, and I think that could be with one man who has had great chemistry with Christian in the past, only to have the feud slip through our fingers causing the peeps to uproar.

I would mark out like a little bitch if Christian cost John Cena the WWE Title at Summerslam. It won't happen. A lot of people will say it's a bad business move, and that is will make too many fans unhappy. You have to keep in mind the fanbase Christian has, though. It would be awesome to see Christian make war with Cena because their feud didn't take off. A war between The Christian Coalition and the Chain Gang would be all shades of greatness, and I for one hope the WWE go through with it.

Cena trying to get Christian's blood by appearing on SD!, and trying to get CC drafted back to RAW, or trying to get himself drafted to SD!. A John Cena/Women's Division trade for Muhammad Hassan, Rey Mysterio and the Cruiserweight Division would shake things up, and it may leave the flagship without a top star for a while, but it would be a great chance to further establish your Big Shows, Edges, Chris Jericho, Kanes, Shelton Benjamins, etc. Bring in Brock Lesnar to join Rey Mysterio, and you have a decent roster until Cena makes his comeback to feud with the top heel heading into WrestleMania 22.

Or you can have Christian help out his "brother", Edge, at Summerslam, starting a Christian/Matt Hardy feud. Christian has the mic skills to really get a great feud out of Hardy. I'm not saying Edge doesn't, but he's playing more of the badass heel that's prided himself on breaking out and really reaching World Championship level. The feud seems out of his character, and seems to detract from his main event push. Hardy on the other hand needs to have that breakout match, and that probably isn't against another rising star. Both Matt Hardy and Christian have been hot discussion points in the wrestling world earlier this year, and both have fizzled down with fresher news and bad creative decisions holding them back. These two could re-focus each other to the rise, and I think that is what these guys need more than anything on SD!.

With this scenario, you get Matt Hardy as another face on SmackDown!, Edge able to challenge John Cena for the WWE Championship, Christian gets a feud to re-focus him, and we may even see the revival of Mattitude (I don't think it could happen on RAW).
