I like some of the ideas here. Kane on SmackDown! is something I've been hoping to see for a long time. Have him "released" from RAW due to his misconduct with Lita.

Anyway, here is my booking of the major matches at Summserslam. I'll lay down this before I talk about the main event feuds heading into WrestleMania 22.

Summerslam- In Order of Occurence
-Doug Basham beats Orlando Jordan cleanly to win the WWE United States Championship.

-Eugene breaks out of his character mid-match with Kurt Angle, surprising the Olympic Gold Medalist, allowing "Eugene" to sneak out a win. The feud continues past this match.

-Edge defeats Matt Hardy with help from Chris Masters, Gene Snitsky, Lita, Tyson Tomko & Christian. Edge & Christian taunt Matt after the match from the stage, singing along to Edge's theme music highlighting Hardy's loss.

Hardy begins to battle back against Snitsky, Tomko and Masters who are continuing the assault on Matt, when The Big Show comes out and helps Hardy finish off Tomko and Snitsky. Masters comes in from behind on Show with the Masterlock, but Show breaks it effortlessly and Chokeslams Masters to Hell. Hardy then goes ape shit with a steel chair, hitting Tomko, Snitsky and Masters. Big Show applaudes Hardy's work, and Show turns to pose to the crowd, which proves to be a mistake as Hardy goes to town on Show with the steel chair.

Hardy goes marches to the back with a purpose, taking out all the medics and road agents he comes across on the way. He is even tackled by one to make it look real, but Hardy gets to his feet and beats the shit out of him, too. Hardy then locks his eyes on Johnny Ace. Ace backs away in fear, but Hardy corners him on the stage and beats the living Hell out of him with a second chair he has with him.

Hardy finally moves onto the RAW announce team, beating the shit out of them and then he finally puts on the headset and cuts a shoot promo on "Jay" who ruined his life by siding with Edge, and he's going to get his ass-kicked accordingly. Eric Bischoff is now out "firing" Matt, telling him to fuck off. Hardy tells him to go suck some other woman's pussy. Hardy tears through the security Bischoff brought with him, and then nails Bischoff with the steel chair before he leaves Summerslam a loser, with a lot of that being due to Christian.

The RAW commentating duties of the night are given to Tazz and Michael Cole.

-Eddie Guerrero defeats Rey Mysterio cleanly, and then cuts a promo on Rey talking about how this all went according to plan. Rey has put everything on the line against Eddie here tonight, and he's walking out with nothing. He no longer has his family, he no longer has his professional superiority over Eddie. All he has is his mask, which should serve him well seeing as he can pin this loss on "Rey Mysterio" and not on Oscar Guttierrez, but make no mistake about it, Oscar is even more of a loser than Rey here tonight. Eddie leaves smiling to himself, while Rey slowly recovers and gets to his feet taking the long walk of shame. Michael Cole and Tazz talk about how there is no shame in losing to Eddie Guerrero the performer, and that all they are qualified to talk about in Mysterio's life is his professional ability, and they both agree that Rey has plenty of professional ability, and he has a great future in this business.

-Hulk Hogan beats Shawn Michaels with help from John Cena, who is pissed off at HBK. On the RAW prior to SS, Vince McMahon announces that in the interest of fairness, John Cena is allowed to choose a tag team partner to take on Jericho & Carlito. Cena chooses HBK, because even though he doesn't like how HBK has been turning his back on people, he's the best in the business next to Cena, and John would love to team with him again. HBK is seemingly shocked by this offer from Cena, but agrees. Cena says there is one condition, and John asks HBK to promise him that he won't betray him in the ring tonight. Shawn goes to make that promise, but Cena interrupts and gives him a warning: "You are aware that if you break this promise, I will kick your ass?". HBK agrees, and the tag match is signed.

HBK costs Hogan the win against Angle, and HBK walks out on Cena in the main event, allowing Jericho & Carlito to pick up the win. HBK then gets a microphone and says he didn't betray Cena in the ring, he betrayed him from outside it.

Anyway, Cena runs in when the ref is down (you know there will be at least two matches with a ref bump) and hits Michaels with the F-U, allowing Hogan to hit the Leg Drop, picking up his second PPV victory this year.

-Randy Orton defeats The Undertaker cleanly with the RKO.

-Chris Jericho defeats John Cena when HBK runs in helping Y2J win the match. Hulk Hogan doesn't return the favour to Cena, which sends a depper message, saying that we are in a new era, the new guys can't rely on the hereos of yesterday to be there to help them out.

-Batista squashes JBL by kicking his and Orlando Jordan's asses. JBL bleeds like Hell for Batista, and puts The Animal over as something vicious in his hometown.
