On first thought, that seems like a very weird idea. But on second thought, it actually sounds interesting. How will the bell be rung? Will there actually BE a ref, but outside in an enforcer-type role, except all he has to do is call for the bell to be rung?
I mean, if you made it a no-DQ match, wouldn't it serve the same purpose? The ref doesn't usually break things up in a no-DQ match. I guess the No Holds Barred match already existed, so a no-ref match had to be implemented instead.
