If I was a booker (which we all wished I was) here's what I would do...

Leading up to the next ppv, have Bischoff constantly plan and scheme against Cena... Have Angle be sort of meh about the whole thing. Eventually have Angle snap at Bischoff, saying he can do it himself.

Come the ppv.. HAve Bischoff interfere at one point, but have Angle get pissed off and knock him out. Then have Angle lock on the ankle lock... Pull an Austin/Hart here and have Cena not give up. Have him screaming in pain, totally red faced, etc, etc. Although it's a tad unrealistic, have Angle "snap" Cena's ankle. Have Cena keep fighting, and eventually get out. From there, have Cena maybe try an FU, but totally buckle as his ankle is broken... Angle goes back to the ankle lock, and eventually the ref stops the fight. Cena begs for the fight to go on, but the ref won't let it.

Angle wins... He starts celebrating, does the whole Olympical Ceremony esque victory, only for Edge to come in and spear him right off the chair.... Edge smokes Kurt with the chair, uses the contract, and pins him...

THen we have Face Kurt vs Heel Edge. (Kurt and Edge do have great chemistry, and with Kurt being the face, it'll freshen things up.) In the long run, I'd keep the belt on Kurt.. Til Mania.

Then when Cena comes back down the road, have him realize that Jericho was right. Have him sell out to the fame, blah blah blah, become a dick, and go corporate, but still act like he's a "thug." Then have heel Cena vs Face Kurt at WM, with Cena getting the belt back.
