im from Durban, South Africa. Never heard of deBeers so Fuck him. as for the truth commision- that came about as a suck up to south african fans because of the first ever WWF tour to South Africa. I got to see Bret Hart wrestle the BullDog. Some south africans held up a sign saying "BULLDOG, TAKE YOUR UGLY WIFE AND GO HOME"
At the end of the tour they did a south africa only PPV - where bret took on and BEAT STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN - this was before his return match at Survivor Series 96 (the one beofre WM13)
Its funny how the the commentators at SURVIVOR SERIES 96 Neglected the fact that bret whipped austins ass in south africa. Owen was a commentator for that ppv - he was fucken funny!
OWEN MOMENT : remember when Bulldog was taking on Shawn michaels for the title at king of the ring (i may be wrong abt which ppv) but owen stands on the Announce table with Slammy's in hand and shouts " You're the best bulldog!" it was fucken funny.
