There have been so many great matches on TV, but I don't think they should have been on PPV. You need great matches on TV occasionally, to you know, keep the show good.
I will say this, though, I really think the WWE has been mis-managing their PPV time. Summerslam ran about 20 minutes under schedule, so why not give another match time to take place on a big stage. Would it have hurt to have Theodore R. Long announce that since Chris Benoit beat Orlando Jordan so quickly, another SmackDown! match will take place. What match could have gone on? Um, how about William Regal vs. Scotty 2 Hotty.
Regal left Scotty alone to get beaten by The Mexicools, and then Scotty wanted revenge so he attacked William Regal on Velocity, but Regal escaped. Not the most epic story ever, but it is known that they want each other's blood. You then have Burchill debut on PPV, instead of Velocity. You have him beat down Scotty, maybe even hit him with the C4 (I really don't think that move is too dangerous), and you have introduced him to at least thrice as many people as you would have on Velocity.
