Carr gets worse every time I see him. Babayaro is, I think, a coke fiend, which would explain why most games he suddenly trances out and loses all perception of time and space. Boumsong and Bramble together seemed to be getting some sort of understanding, but individually they're not good enough. If Newcastle didn't have Shay Given they'd have been close(r) to relegated last season.

Dyer (if he ever gets fit)
Emre
Parker
Luque
Owen
Shearer

is a hell of a front combination though. I still say they should go for Ashton, if not now then at the end of the season when Shearer's gone and Norwich still haven't won a game.
