If this were AEW: This is going to be used to build up a Dominick/Rey program. Roman is being set up to drop the title to the next star down the line. They’re getting him being dominant over. What is he supposed to do? Lose all the time? Long-term storytelling guys. This isn’t shitty WWE where things just happen for no reason. And it’s totally smart to do a Hell in a Cell match on TV since they get all their revenue from TV.

No, it is stupid. It was hot-shotting. They clearly want Roman to be a star, but the heel turn did that enough. Him smashing everyone is just going to create a different version of the same problem. I have no interest in a Rey vs. Dominik feud.

Rey losing is fine. It should have been to the established Guillotine Choke. But a Rey win would have been fine too. Roman could also get the belt back. But if you want to go with Roman, you could have had the choke finish it and tell the same story if Rey feeling like he has “failed” his son.
