Spider-Man: Far From Home-8/10

Absolutely hilarious, a nice change of paceafter 2 epic but also dire Avengers films, and a fun, high stakes first step towards the next gen of mcu films.

SPOILER: show
Marvel has really stepped it up with their villains. Mysterio is so good. The way he and his network of Stark Industries cast offs are tied to the universe and in turn the film is a fun little throwback and the eventual heel turn is fun once it kicks in to start the 3rd act

I liked the direction they took with this one. There are some fun surprises, the set pieces are glorious, and Tom Holland is just perfect for this role. And while iffy at first, prob because it was so different, I do love the MJ dynamic and Holland and Zendaya do have a cute but awkward and funny chemistry.

I liked this one about as much as the first even tho it's a much bigger film with a less intimate villain. The Peter story itself is great and I'm interested in where they're going to take it after the ending.
