This is the only thing AEW had over NXT, besides the hardcore fans being more behind them because it's fresh and not at all backed by Vince. But them rushing to do TV isn't really a problem. I think the Meltzer narrative on why they did it is a bit biased. I can think of bunch of reasons they wouldn't want to be chasing AEW's tail on that. And they knew about Dynamite launching for a long time and did the Halftime Heat earlier this year. This has been in the works for ages, because Vince likes money.
