I read a post about BotW running worse in docked mode than handheld. It theorised that GPU does indeed run at 2x speed when docked, but the memory bandwidth only goes from 1300 MHz to 1600MHz, and the CPU and GPU are fighting over that bandwidth.

Basically there could well be bottlenecks on any game that uses the CPU and GPU heavily (basically anything) that could nullify the advantages of being docked. Reports of Dragon Quest Heroes running really rough on the Switch.

Power doesn't matter, except when it's low power because it's poorly designed, low power that's more expensive than anything on the market, and low power that developers are going to struggle to make the most of. Then you have people who paid top dollar for a Pro controller now choosing to play Zelda undocked for the better experience.
