Great show! I'm not entirely into the indy scene these days, so I'm not completely familiar with everyone, but everything about this show was just a huge breath of fresh air over WWE's product.
There was a very "real" feeling to the whole night, which has long since been lost on WWE's "entertainment" style of repetitive matches, scripted promos, commentating that is more concerned about promoting products and catchphrases. Every match seemed important, especially thanks to Jim Ross, and it's kinda cool seeing the "older audience", rather than kids in brightly coloured t-shirts.
It wasn't the best PPV ever or anything like that, but in 2019 this is exactly what wrestling (especially in the West) needs. As unlikely as it seems, Jon Moxley could be to AEW what Steve Austin was to the WWF in 1996.
