I understand the financial rewards of this sort of thing but it reeks of pandering and I think a few of us are getting sick of mechanical nostalgia.

Stranger Things was so bad...
The difference here is that Keaton has been as far away from Batman as you can get since the 92 film. Yes it's nostalgic but it also serves a purposeand fits in with the mythology of the books and multiple universes. I'm all for it.
