The YES! chant becoming a huge mainstream phenomenon was a huge reason why Vince finally relented and put Bryan into the WWE title match. Bryan had the combo of fans vocally rebelling on WWE's direction for Mania 30 and him becoming a legit huge mainstream star.
Only Punk and Lesnar reach similar genuine mainstream star status in recent years. Others had the WWE machine as the big reason why.
