It is the same everytime with this company. Paid shills and idiotic fans hype everything up as "just wait, it is going to be amazing", and it inevitably is a major letdown compared to the hype machine.
It is exactly the same situation with the game. This has been hyped for years as this monumental game achievement. This is not going to be some cultural phenomenon that sells millions upon millions of copies. It is a niche game for a niche fanbase, and that would be fine if they haven't overplayed their hand hyping it up the entire time.
Not 2 weeks ago, WBD was going to announce a 5 year $1.2 Billion TV/Max streaming deal. Instead, it ended up being a 2 hour Saturday night show. If that doesn't stand out as the prime example, then yes that is 100% Willful Ignorance.
