The show finished 11th for the night on cable in terms of total viewers. That's a better performance from last week but still worse than it would normally do, as SmackDown is usually in the top 10. The rating in the 18-49 demo was back up to fourth on cable with a 0.58 rating, trailing only sports competition in the form of two NBA games on TNT and an NHL game on NBC Sports Network. Year-over-year, SmackDown also did a little better than it had been doing, dropping "only" 16 percent after having been down around 20 percent in recent weeks.

Fightful reached out to wrestlers across Raw, Smackdown, NXT and NXT UK and in each case were told that WWE has never requested that they turn over social media logins ... WWE does send out memos and updates to talent that outline basic social media behavior and things that they need to know, but at least these days, they aren't asking for login information. In one instance, there were wrestlers who were asked to make social media posts in order to promote a coordinated sponsor, and a wrestler requested that a social media manager take care of it, and even offered up the passcode to their phone. However, the social media manager informed them that the department isn't even supposed to do that. We're told that Mike Johnson stated this week that "this policy is not active" when updating the situation.

Basis for this whole situation was an incorrect report from PWI and Ryback claiming WWE was in control of his social media accounts while he was there.

The format and personalities that you've come to love over the years, will no longer broadcast on 95.5." WPLJ 95.5 has been Todd Pettengill's home for decades as he's hosted the morning show there for 27 years, originally co-hosting with the legendary Scott Shannon and now as the lead host of Todd and Jayde in the morning. During his time with WWE, Pettengill would cross-promote the company on WPLJ, with PLJ personalities getting involved in a number of WWE charitable events in NYC to raise money for the Salvation Army and other organizations.

Major League Wrestling has also signed Tristen Thai, a Johnny Rodz trainee who has worked for Beyond Wrestling, among other independent groups in the Northeast. There had been interest in him for some time after Court Bauer came across his work on social media platforms. Another new MLW signing is slated to be revealed as soon as this Saturday's episode of MLW Fusion on BeIN Sports. The Salina de la Renta-centic episode of MLW Fusion has done incredible numbers for the promotion on YouTube and may be on the way to being the top viewed MLW episode to date on that platform.

The reason given was "circumstances beyond our control." It was reported in late 2018 that NXT UK talent had restrictions in their contracts that precluded them from wrestling talent signed to major organizations. It has not been confirmed that this is the reason as to why the match between Storm and Priestley is not happening.
