* According to NoClip's recent documentary on Arkane Studios, Gordon Freeman was not planned to be the lead character for Half-Life 2 Episode 4 and instead it would have been Adrian Shephard from Half-Life: Opposing Force. The project was also cancelled due to Valve getting cold feet over funding issues.
