Eehhh... Bebop I can buy a prequel. Not so much Samuari Champloo. They started that story at the beginning.

Though, I can kinda see doing a different story. Maybe even throw anachronism on a different era of time. However, that has the potential of tarnishing what the original did if not done perfectly right. Best to leave well enough alone.
