According to Marc Raimondi of ESPN, the promotion signed Thunder Rosa, whose real name is Melissa Cervantes, to a multi-fight deal and could make her debut on November 8 at a card in San Antonio, Texas. Squared Circle Sirens first reported that Cervantes could potentially sign with Combate Americas. She would go on and confirm the news on social media added that her weight class in MMA is yet to be determined.

Both WWE and AEW were very interested in signing her prior to her deciding to try a career in MMA instead.
