Yeah, but I do feel that Rock portrayed a heel character much better in that even in his "Hollywood" phase towards the end of his time as a full-time guy, even when crowds would cheer him as a heel, he could just work the mic on them and get his nuclear heat back. It's not every guy that can just use their character to influence crowds like that. He was a real 1 in a million guy.
Oh, objectively now I can admit The Rock is fucking awesome. The dude is a god. I didn't realize how good we had it as wrestling fans to have someone that charismatic let us come to his show. It was just me as a weird kid kind of having this weird aversion to charisma, as odd as that sounds. I liked more stoic forms of it, anyway.
