yeah, it's a pity that the bad films that came before it will likely be its undoing more than any of its own failures, because they actually got this one mostly right

i maintain the R rating was totally unnecessary -- for the sake of a few f-bombs and some gratuitous violence, they could have easily trimmed/implied a couple of scenes and brought themselves down a rating without sacrificing anything that gave the film its flavour, to at least make it easier for teen girls, who you would imagine would have been a fairly crucial market segment, to actually see this movie
