Respawn currently facing some complaints in regards to the handling of their Valentine's Day themed event today. The company released 3 limited time items with 1 as a freebie as long as you achieve a certain in-game condition and the others as paid items.
The main issue involves the pricing of the items since the way the in-game economy is handled means you have to spend about $30 to get the 2 skins that actually cost $20 total. Its all due to the items also include Apex Coins which Respawn is not giving away as a gift.

However, the other two can only be obtained by spending Apex Coins which is the currency that requires real money. There's a Through the Heart skin for the Longbow and a Love of the Game banner for Pathfinder. Each one costs 1,100 Apex Coins (which is $11 because 1,000 Apex Coins are bundled for $10). They're conveniently priced so that buying both of them comes out to $30 spent because there's no option to buy fewer than 1,000 Apex Coins.
