I wouldn’t have even known it was a joke. AEW’s not very far away from needing to pay people to go to some of their shows as they chew up markets.
The Double or Nothing card looks FUCKING TERRIBLE. It’s not even a case of a what would be a good card on paper in a wrestling promotion likely sucking because of AEW. It looks fucking ludicrous.
* Why is there a Battle Royal for the International Title? Why is there an International Title? Who gives a fuck?
* Why are The Hardy Boyz on TV in 2023? Why is Tony Khan putting Jeff in more positions to bump and turn back to substances? Fuck this. Remember when The Young Bucks “put over” Private Party? Fucking lol.
* They’ve already made people not care about Taya Valkyrie. Good job.
* Toni Storm isn’t very good. People saw a pretty girl with a good ass in independent wrestling and willed her talent into existence.
* Why is Mark Briscoe refereeing a match? How are people supposed to care about FTR and Jeff Jarrett/Jay Lethal with the tag division in the shape it’s in? You put this on a TNA PPV in 2006 and people would have griped about it. Now AEW gets away with it.
* Adam Cole legitimately has me concerned about him. Something is not right there. He’s another guy getting a push that just isn’t working.
* Why is Wardlow in a Ladder Match? Why can’t this be straight singles? What a use of Christian Cage. This should be a house show circuit thing for Wardlow to help him learn. Christian could take the losses there and it wouldn’t matter.
* Anarchy in the Arena = bullshit. Who could care about these arbitrary factions?
* A four-way main event with two guys who maybe kinda belong.
