I have never seen a Taika Waititi film that was anything short of hilarious. There is always a very warm, mischievous style to his films. He's a loveable rascal making movies that improve people's moods. I think that should be rewarded because I find it hard to see anything to be cynical about with his output.

It's a vampire comedy that inspired a recent TV series adaptation/continuation and I will have to check that out because if it's half as strong as this I will love it.

This was off the charts with laughs and great references(mostly visual) so if you see the show give this a shot too or vice versa.
I saw this movies like 21-3 years ago, and loved it. I watched it on the recommendation of a friend, not knowing at all what to expect, and couldn't stop laughing.
