I don’t know shit about this new-fangled technology but if you’re friends with someone on some kind of social media that’s linked to your phone contacts, does their picture in your contacts change if their profile picture changes? If so, the screenshots could have been taken recently and had her new picture. Though I can’t imagine those texts would still be just hanging out on his phone from the OVW days.
