There are key people in TNA that also believe that TNA is not getting renewed. They’re is no set date for cancellation. The impression being given is that TNA has a place to go but it’s not a major place (my guess is that it’s WGN). If that place picks them up in February, for example, then Spike would allow them to stay until February to allow them to make a smooth transition.

The issue with TNA going to a lesser known station is that they would probably take a hit in the ratings and if they are getting paid less than what they make on Spike TV then they would have to do a show on a smaller budget.
I'd assume last week was all the convincing Spike TV needed about TNA and wrestling's future in general for the network. They made way more ad money replaying old Cops episodes than Impact usually generated for Thursdays.

Also probably have no confidence any more for TNA in general since the move to a friendlier Wednesday spot ended up killing a third of their ratings.
