It reminded me of the things I don't like about Steven Soderbergh, if that makes any sense to you.
Premise secondary to dialogue, dialogue that only works if it's smart or funny enough to pull you in.
I also stopped watching Sorry To Bother You for similar reasons.
I get hooked by a premise but the realisation of it is poorly executed for my taste.
I'm like a bit of gritty reality and you tend not to find that in these sorts of films. Too busy trying to be clever or make a point.
Great, but entertain me first mother fucker.
