* Paramount Pictures announced that their next Sonic film is currently scheduled to be released in theaters on April 2022. Only details currently known are that the film is currently is the pre-production stage of development, the same director and writers of the first film are currently working on this new film, and several actors will be returning to reprise their roles in this new film.
