Didn't seem AXS wasn't interested in signing a tv deal for Impact so Anthem solved that problem by purchasing majority ownership of the network. Anthem also makes sense as a new owner since they are a sports network company and AXS meshes well with the stuff they already carry.

Impact's partnership with AAA has been very fruitful for them. Their Mexican shows have done really well and a bunch of their roster was already working for AAA on the side. Plus NJPW still holds some ill feelings towards Impact for the poor treatment of their stars in the past.
