For some reference on how bad LU contracts were for money, supposedly the initial offer LU gave to the Young Bucks to lock them down to a long term deal was around $300 per match. Then it got bumped to $750 per match and then $1250 per match but with no guarantees or downsides included for work. Bucks rejected it since they would be stuck with the possibility of making way less money and be restricted with higher paying indie dates.

This was around the time LU was filling out their initial roster prior to Season 1 and locking down talent to 7 year deals.
