Dark Souls is super easy once you get the hang of it. Like, stunningly easy. To the point where you can beat the game naked and at level 1. The idea of a game that is more forgiving than Dark Souls, but still "like" Dark Souls, sounds underwhelming. Lords of the Fallen looks fun and Dark Souls-ish, but hearing that it's more forgiving just makes it unappealing. The combat itself looked way easier and not nearly as challenging, so that's a disappointment already. But to hear that it's more forgiving.... than what? You can't really forgive much more without taking away the entire reason Dark Souls is hard in the first place.
