It's a defensive posture that permeates even the booking, which is why it's always 50/50, unless someone has the clout to avoid being in the 50/50 club. But the booking itself becomes defensive. Don't offend anyone's fan base. Don't alienate anyone. Please everyone, at all times, and make either apologies offered or excuses given if the audience presents even the slightest backlash. It leads to no commitment to a decision, and therefore, long-term, long-lasting money situations become harder and harder to manufacture."

Orton, who has a history of shoulder problems dating back to early in his career, had been working of late on a bad shoulder, but not so bad that he couldn't wrestle. But in taking out the garbage to the curb this past week, the shoulder dislocated and he was in tremendous pain. It took three hours to pop it back into place. He was to have an MRI done to find out the extent of the damage, and if he may need surgery, so his prognosis is not determined.

Alberto has told people in wrestling that he won't be taking any bookings after the end of November anywhere, because he wants to spend December with his family, although those close to him say right now it's all speculative as to whether he'll be back or not. He has said to at least some people he's interested in being back with WWE for WrestleMania, and obviously that explains WWE starting to talk openly about booking plans involving him. He apparently has said he would rather have an advertised return than a surprise return. If that's the case, it'll be a huge blow to AAA coming so quickly after losing Myzteziz.

Josh Matthews at least explained the latter one this week, saying that he's wearing those trunks as a reminder of what he went through.

Roberts said that it starts in December and that he, Terry Funk, Douglas and Tommy Dreamer would be training the wrestlers in old school wrestling. Roberts said he was getting another operation on his hip, and then he would move to Las Vegas to work with the promotion. Hopefully Jake Roberts has really mentally turned his life around, because Roberts in Las Vegas full-time and away from DDP would have me worried.

Live on Thursday wouldn't make as much sense as that would be a huge cost increase, plus be somewhat worse for talent. The office would have to fly out to a new city twice a week instead of once. So that's why if it does go live, Tuesday would seem to work best. You can look at the live vs. taped numbers for Raw the few times a year it is taped, and the occasional live Smackdown specials, not to mention the few live TNA shows and the ratings never show a difference. We haven't heard that's a sure thing, but do know WWE was looking at major changes come January, including some being worked on and not finalized.

For example, while watching one of the women from Australia wrestle, the kids start calling the woman Kangaroo woman and the kids and Graves go off on a tangent about Kangaroos. They also have kids doing interviews. Graves is said to do a real good job of holding the 30 minute show together.

Apparently CM Punk has been blacklisted in the book, as there is no mention of the former WWE Superstar at all and there is no mention of him being part of The Undertaker’s streak.

Hogan's legal team claims the rant was released in order to hurt Hogan as he pursued the lawsuit against Gawker.

The forensic investigation will only cover materials owned by Gawker's founder and chief executive, Nick Denton, Gawker President Heather Dietrick and former Gawker editor AJ Daulerio with searches for specific items within those records, including the terms "racist," "Hulk Hogan," and "DVD details." The expense of the investigation will fall upon Hogan's shoulders and will only cover 6/26-8/6 of this year ...

It should be noted that in at least one case (gossip reporter Nik Richie), the comments were written about online well before Hogan had ever filed his lawsuit against Gawker. The ruling goes into effect next month. Gawker has claimed they will file an appeal.

John Cena: Wrestler Set to Return to WWE to Defend US Title on Dec. 26
Cena is scheduled to defend his title against Sheamus on Dec. 26 at Madison Square Garden in New York. It is set to be his first WWE fight after Oct. 26's "Hell in a Cell" event.
Possible spoilers regarding Cena's Hell in a Cell match based on current WWE ads for his return. To be fair, WWE also has Rollins advertised as WWE champion for the Tribute to the Troops show at the end of the year since he's the current champion at the moment and doesn't guarantee he'd still be by that show.

Some other sheet news includes:
  • Observer speculating Lesnar's Rumble/Mania opponent might show up during Taker-Brock III while current WWE plans have the Taker-Brock feud finished at Hell in a Cell regardless of the outcome.
  • Vince Russo recently sent a feeler to the WWE to see if they'd be interested in having him back in Creative or help sort out their booking issues that's been a problem for years. http://www.ringsidenews.com/wwe-news...-can-save-wwe/
  • Recent article from Grantland dealt with the issue between the WWE and its over-reliance on using Legends to make shows better instead of fixing the bigger problems. http://grantland.com/the-triangle/ww...aels-ric-flair
  • In a "WWE Did You Know" type fact, every match currently planned for the upcoming Hell in a Cell match baring Cena vs mystery opponent has already been done within the past 2 months. All except Taker-Brock happened within the past couple of weeks. https://www.reddit.com/r/SquaredCirc...the_hell_in_a/
