I was always a big proponent of defending the extra point but at this point it's a total formality. You have to try really hard to screw it up.

I wouldn't mind the NFL Blitz rule: touchdown is worth 7 points by default. If you want to go for an 8th point, you put a point at risk. If you make it, 8 points. If you don't, 6 points. Pretty simple and keeps strategies basically the same with respect to the current game.

The worst thing they could possibly do would be to force everybody to go for 2 no matter what. A 2-point conversion attempt is basically a 50/50 play, it'd be terrible to dramatically swing the game on what amounts to total luck. You may as well just flip a coin at that point.
