Fucking christ they just released another update that addresses these issues.
Character tower requirements haven't changed, but the amount of times you have to do them is MUCH lower. And you can get lots more soul fragments from tower rewards. Saw some towers tonight offering 60-75 frragments for getting enough points, which isn't that hard.
NRS deserves props for how quickly they've been responding to feedback.
