Pretty sure his 25th RAW Anniversary appearance was a nod to this. That all his opponents can Rest in Peace now because he's fucking done. That and I swear the cameras were super focused on Undertaker's bare hands as if reminding people he retired.

Honestly, if the WWE wanted to create moments where he has squash matches against jobbers and/or willing legends at all future WrestleMania's where he just Tombstone's and pins them in 30 second matches to pad his record each year, I think most fans would be down for that. The WWE can still advertise him, him and the fans get a WM moment and technically the mother fucker continues on.
