The wrestling renaissance in the UK was real but lasted a couple of years at most and got killed off by WWE and ITV before it could truly blossom or hit the next level. Rev Pro, Progress, and OTT likely don't get the deals they currently have with NJPW and WWE if it wasn't for that renaissance period.

Problem with simply shutting down NXT UK and moving talent to the US is the regular PC is already way too bloated to take on more talent without more call-ups being made which would just lead to the main roster being even more bloated. Plus doubt Triple H wants another big black mark on his NXT global expansion plans considering the biggest supporters of ditching the brand got fired a while ago (WWE's former co-presidents).
