I do watch Benoit matches usually, I don't recall skipping them. However I tend to avoid WWE events that he worked on. Watching him in WCW doesn't really bother me as much because there is a kind time line separation I tend to make. However, I do think about it every time I see him and usually end up feeling like what a waste of talent. Dude was probably the best worker ever minus the ability to connect with the crowd. But usually his work was was serious and believable he didn't have to pander or play to the audience ever.

I watch a ton of old wrestling but I rarely watch anything WWE after 98. Around the time Smackdown! came on it just gets muddled for me. Back in 99 I didn't have access to UPN so I never got in the habit of watching Smackdown! and to be honest I've never been in a long term viewing habit with the show. It always felt extra to me. Mostly because my fandom includes more than just WWE.
