There's no way Omega would have held the belt for that long.

Meltzer is extremely biased towards AEW. Listening to him review NXT and try to pick logic holes in it while he just shrugs at AEW's nonsensical stuff is excruciating. I get that the dude's a wrestling fan, and an alternative to WWE is needed, but you can see where the silly "he's on the take" rumors come from.

The Bucks and Omega dicked over New Japan. They say they gave notice months before, but they were also negotiating with WWE and New Japan, by their own admission, right up until signing with AEW -- something they would have known they were going to do months before, but obviously led New Japan down a primrose path of "we might stay."

They've established a new US promotion that is going to impact New Japan's business presence in the country. Omega was very public about New Japan being cheap. They're not fucking pure babyfaces in this story.
