Sting as a stand alone recurring character, even if he doesn't wrestle, is twice as interesting than any "legend" they bring in for one night, or have even occasionally appear for a build up and/or actually God forbid wrestle at WrestleMania.

That's the point, nothing WWE does matters because they have no fucking quality long term plans/goals, let alone even any quality short term ideas/plans that will matter a month afterwards. At least AEW is trying things that are at least short term interesting/entertaining and that might but might not make an impact long term.

WWE's "long term" plan is to do a half ass build to WM by bringing in "some legends" every week or two that won't be around two weeks after WM and their role in WM will have no impact 3 months later because they'll still be more over than anyone on the current roster.
