Bruno is important in the sense he kept the WWWF afloat and was really popular and drew big gates at MSG regularly (sold out the Garden) and w/o him the WWWF wouldn't have existed to be purchased by Vincent Kennedy McMahon.

Roman Reigns is a better wrestler than Bruno Sammartino though.
