Besides the shader blunder, I'm really enjoying the game.

Campaign was much better than the first. Nothing groundbreaking, but it does a good job getting you more invested in the universe and it's characters.

SPOILER: show
I'm guessing that massive fleet at the end of the post credits scene is the Nine, and they'll be the antagonists of one of the expansions.

One reason that I came back to the original so much is the art design. The game is gorgeous to look at. Not just because of the graphics although those have notably improved. There's just so much sci fi scenery porn here. The zones of each planet are more unique, and also offer more verticality.

Hell of a lot more to do in this game as well. In addition to strikes, and patrols, there are also Adventures, which serve as side missions to the main story. They're kind of like mini strikes. There's also lost sectors which are semi hidden areas with a loot chest guarded by a bunch of enemies and a boss. Public events were in the first game, but now you can see on your map where they are and how long til they happen, and the rewards are better. Also, challenges in each planet that Ikora rewards you for completing. I actually had to unlock patrols through a post campaign mission, and there's a couple more of these available. So there might be another activity or two that I don't know about yet.

Tried 3 of the 5 strikes, and they were a lot of fun. The boss fights seem to have a gimmick to them that adds a bit of depth, so it's not just a bullet sponge fight.

If you skipped the first one, or got bored with it quick like I did, I'd give the series a second chance. This is a much better experience imo, even if the dress up portion is wonky right now.
