I like that detail as well, but it reminds me more of getting the old, print-on-pulp, coverless comics I'd get for like 5 to 10 cents apiece from thrift stores and such that started my journey. Especially with that "back issue" tag Yale stuck on this one.

Side effect of having a lot of comics with no covers: there was a LONG time I had no idea they were numbered. I didn't understand why there was stuff like [*see issue 16 - Denny]... I was like "how are we supposed to know which issue was 16? I went by the story titles since that was all I had to go on. I didn't bother reading most "letters to the editor" type pages, either, so I still didn't catch that SOME series (not all) put the issue number on the small print credits at the end.
