But that doesn't make a better show or really help the talent other than giving them a chance to mark out for themselves. I think we'd have gotten an Usos heel turn and an AJ Styles run with the IC Title, which is what the WWE Title is now. Neither him nor Owens were in an appreciably better spot on the card this year as opposed to before their title reigns. In fact, after losing the Universal Title, Owens was challenging for the US Title at that Mania and he wasn't even on the card this year.
