And that's the problem with giving him the title. It should be reserved for THE guy or someone who has potential to be THE guy. That's how you make the title a meaningful draw instead of a useless prop.

And the Benoit comparison works. It doesn't matter that Benoit was AS over as Bryan is at this very moment. I'm comparing them talent-wise. The whole "Yes movement" thing isn't gonna last forever. Once that's gone, you've got a little guy who looks like you signed off a Bum Fights video representing your company as it's champion.

That works for ROH, a company that wants to appeal to wrestling nerds and never actually grow and become a bigger deal. Not WWE.
