TNA finished its Destination America run on Wednesday night, and it was originally believed that the company would not have television until their originally scheduled debut show on Tuesday, January 5th. Instead, POP TV will be picking up with the final two episodes of Impact for 2015, airing on Tuesday, December 22nd, and Tuesday, December 29th, both of which will be "Best of 2015" type shows. This week, their first hour will go head-to-head with a live Smackdown.

The 1/5 "live" show from Bethlehem, PA, will feature the semifinals and finals of the TNA title tournament that has come down to Bobby Lashley, Eric Young, Matt Hardy and Ethan Carter III. The company is saying it's a live show, but in the past, that has meant taping two hours before and airing it the same night.

Xavier Woods spoke with SI for a new interview discussing the UpUpDownDown gaming channel on YouTube. Woods noted that there are currently plans to have Vince McMahon and Triple H appear on the show down the road ...

As for a favorite skit with the New Day, Woods would not allow himself to choose one he particularly enjoyed, nor would he reveal one that he would prefer to do over.

“Every time I go out with Kofi and Big E, I feel like it was our best one,” said Woods. “I feel like we’re exponentially having a good time, and it increases every single time we do something. Since we’ve been doing New Day stuff, I’ve felt good about everything we’ve done. And that tells me, from a very critical standpoint, that I’m really enjoying myself. Those two guys are genuinely my friends, and they’re amazing human beings. It’s pure bliss going out there and being us.”

Will be taking the spot the previously rumored by later canceled Shane McMahon set was planned to get.

As for the reason why, going off informed speculation it appears that for reasons unknown Shane would not have been involved with the new DVD and therefore the decision was made that a match compilation without any of his input was ultimately not as strong as one of the U.S. title.

The January 14th WWE NXT live event debut in Milwaukee will be held at the Turners Hall Ballroom, which is the same venue Ring of Honor runs when they're in town. It will be interesting to see if WWE asked for exclusivity when negotiating the deal for January. When a lot of the NXT expansion began back in the summer, it was reported that WWE contacted another venue ROH uses with the idea that WWE would run there if they no longer booked ROH.

Almost quitting TNA years ago:
"I remember Vince [Russo] specifically saying to me 'What? You want to be World Champion or something?' and me saying 'Yeah' and he's like 'That will never happen, you're a Brit.' I remember I almost quit then and there because what's the of the point of being there?"

The James Storm / Mickie James Train Skit:
"We hated it, we all hated it. When it was pitched to us, we all tried desperately to change it to something else but the guy in charge wasn't having anything to do with it and was convinced it would be great.

That's just a perfect example of one of the reasons why I left, we all said that was a bad idea and we all gave what I thought were good alternatives and were basically told 'do what we tell you.'"

"There is truth that there was some sort of unknown, unreasonable heat between Riley and Cena. To the point where everyone on the roster thought that Cena was treating him in a way that was totally uncalled for. No one approached Cena about it, but the entire locker room was on Riley's side, a lot of condolences, and this is 'ridiculous, bro,' and it was every freakin' day. Cena thought Riley did something wrong every single day" Reks said.

Reks said that Cena did things to Riley, including going through his bag and berating Riley for certain supplements he was taking. Reks thinks that Cena did it in an effort to get Riley fired.

"Like, it's completely against the wrestler code to ever go through another wrestler's bag. One day, Riley walked into an empty locker room and Cena was just going through his bag. He found some pre-workout vitamins and b---hed him out for taking supplements, asking if he 'thinks this is ok.' Like, he was looking for a reason to get him fired," Reks said.
Recent AMA session with Tyler Reks on the supposed backstage issues between Cena and Riley that might have played a role in why Riley's singles push got killed. For some perspective, Reks hasn't liked Cena ever since he complained to management about Reks doing certain moves and the Cena's supposed hatred of Riley is due to both a small prank Riley once did to Cena and Riley standing up one time to Cena's antics against him. JTG's recent book also had a part dealing with the backstage feud between both guys. http://www.wrestlinginc.com/wi/news/...ry-alex-riley/
